Built by the Eyre family as a seminary and priests house in 1798. The Eyre family remained Roman Catholic until the 19th century, and the village had a large Catholic population until at least the early 19th century. There is a small chapel, built slightly later, at the rear of the house, but the position of the sun made it unphotographable at the time. House and chapel are Listed Grade II.
