Sisterkerkes Plaque, Withernsea

Plaque reads: "Approximately 800 yards offshore from this point lies the site of the 13th century church of St. Peter's Owthorne [one of the Sisterkerkes] lost to erosion by the early 19th century." The Sisterkerkes were two nearby churches supposedly founded by two sisters who had planned to build a single church together, but disagreed on whether it should have a spire or a tower, so they ended up building one each. Plaque is on Withernsea promenade.
