Longford is an attractive old coaching village on the Bath Road, just to the north-west of Heathrow - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longford,_London for a much fuller description. This is The Square at the centre of the village near The White Horse public house. If the third runway at Heathrow is built, as announced by the Government on 25th October 2016, every building in Longford will be demolished. It is a sobering thought that this photograph would become only a record of what once was.
