Two of South Eastern's large fleet of class 465 electric units pass at New Cross. 465 022 (left) is leaving platform B (bound for Cannon Street if memory serves), while 465 172 is arriving at platform C to take me to Lewisham. The platforms at New Cross are lettered rather than numbered, to prevent confusion with the platforms at New Cross Gate station (which was also named New Cross before 1923) a short distance to the west.
