NOT The Flying Scotsman

Despite carrying the famous Flying Scotsman nameplate, this steam locomotive approaching Townsend Fold is actually the ex-Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Aspinall 0-6-0 freight locomotive number 12322. A historic locomotive in its own right, 12322 was built at the Horwich Works in 1896 and is the only survivor of 484 locomotives of its class. It has been preserved by the Ribble Steam Railway but is currently on loan to the East Lancashire Railway.
