Like many dockside pubs, the Neptune had a rather 'lively' reputation, although there was always the calmer Pegasus Lounge to retire to next door. Note the ancient (1970s) McEwan's 'laughing cavalier' illuminated sign. The bar is now closed and set to be demolished.
