The photograph on this page of Alas, they weren't by Basher Eyre as part of the Geograph project.

Situated at the southern end of Arundel Bridge, it reads "Be true and just in your dealings" It was placed there by a local worthy who put up £30 towards the cost of repairing the bridge. No more subscriptions were forthcoming but the trustees of the fund would not return his money! What's changed?
