This is a popular and crowded destination on a very popular and scenic canal. It is hardly surprising that the Canal and River Trust have begun exploiting this by charging £6 a day for mooring overnight, here or in a small marina about 600 metres north-west. Arrive early in summer for a better chance of finding a space. It is less crowded Saturday to Monday when most hire boats haven't yet arrived. Having said that, this one has!
