Bournemouth: Yelverton Road is now a two-way street

This road joins us here at Richmond Hill from Old Christchurch Road and, until last week, was a one-way street (towards the camera), with Albert Road, the next turning down the hill, catering for the opposite direction. However, in the last week, in preparation for a fuller pedestrianisation scheme on Old Christchurch Road, both Yelverton and Albert Roads have been closed off at the far end. This means, of course, that they have to be two-way streets now that they are both dead ends. The 'two-way traffic' and 'no through road' signs have therefore been erected at this end of the street, and of course the revised road markings. (Yelverton Road did spend a short time during February being one-way in the other direction, during a time when Albert Road was closed for building works - see Image) The building on the left is Image and on the right is Image
