When I lived in Bromyard over thirty five years ago the Downs were grazed by sheep but this practice seems to have ceased some twenty years ago. The result has been that on this visit the Downs were almost unrecognisable to me. Large areas of scrub and trees had grown up restricting the view. Now it seems this has been recognised as being undesirable and sheep are to be re-introduced from September 2016.
