The second hand books are for sale on the veranda. The scout hut, in the grounds of Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, was built by 3rd Altrincham Scout Group in 1932, and is probably one of the most distinctive scout buildings in the country, boasting carved 'totem poles' on the veranda. The Group celebrated their centenary in 2013.
