The A265 curves through the suburbs of Heathfield a left of centre bottom, up to Broad Oak roughly central at the top. The wooded parkland of Heathfield Park is on the right; part of the large Markly Wood is at lower left, with North Down Wood at centre left. The prominent white building close to the centre shows the location of the modern market, timber yard and council depot.
