Pub on High Street. Originally The Royal Oak, it was renamed the Surrey Yeoman in the early 19th Century in honour of Baron Leslie, later Earl of Rothes, who was a Colonel of the Surrey Yeomanry and who lived next door in a house called Shrub Hill.
