The Mill, seen here from Bethel on the other side of the stream, is said to be the second built in Melin y Coed. This one was operated by the same family for about a century, and was sold in the 1950s and converted to a dwelling. The millstone has been incorporated into the garden wall, and though the water wheel is gone, the mechanism still exists. Bread made from the flour ground here was available for purchase in the village in living memory.
