Vision Tameside seems to involve the demolition of the 1980s council offices and the sale of assets in other towns within the borough in order to build offices in Ashton which the council will then lease back. The aim appears to be to concentrate all services in Ashton to the detriment of other areas of the Metropolitan Borough.
