A well preserved engine house in this former slate quarry. The engine house dates back to 1870 and housed a Woolf compound beam engine that operated both pumps and a haulage system for the slate. There is a trail around the site but it is made tricky by brambles and gorse and could be slippery when wet as there is slate waste underfoot in places.
