The junction of a private road (a school road) - Burton Walks - with Leicester Road (the A6). This imposing building is a Grade II-listed Tudor Gothic lodge & gate screen serving the former Loughborough Grammar School (now The Loughborough Endowed Schools). The lodge and screen were designed by John Morris and Charles Hebson of Lambeth and date from 1852. There is a pedestrian archway on either side of the drive, the walling ending in an octagonal gate piers, with pyramidal caps that echo the main polygonal turret. The lodge is currently used as offices for the establishment's Development Department.
