A Roman Catholic parish church, built in 1963, architect E E Morgan, to replace an earlier chapel of 1902 on Brookfield Road nearby (which is probably no longer extant). The church was not consecrated until 1988, and was enlarged and reordered in 2008. Source: http://taking-stock.org.uk/Home/Dioceses/Diocese-of-Leeds/Leeds-St-Urban
