Viewed past the Graig Park Circle junction at 9:36am on September 19th 2016, a Monday. Delays here caused by the volume of weekday rush hour traffic have usually cleared by this time, so I guessed that a problem on the nearby M4 motorway was causing this stop-start queue of very slow moving traffic. M4 motorway junction 26 is about 700 metres ahead. The guess was correct. The South Wales Argus reported that a three-vehicle collision on the motorway was causing stop-start traffic for about 10 miles (16 km) on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 between Cardiff and Newport.
