The building was formerly a church school, built in 1859 and originally associated with the adjacent former chapel Image Listed grade 2 (list entry 1314123) as 'probably the first "Gothic Revival", as opposed to Jacobean, school design in Bradford'. It was at the time of listing in 1983, an "immigrant education centre" but is now a care home.
