On Saturday 17th September 2016 between 10 am and 2 pm, the village of Audley hosted a variety of events supporting the charity Breast Cancer Now. This has become an annual event and is augured by the appearance of pink bows tied to posts and railings along Church Street during the previous week. 2016 offered a hog-roast outside the local butcher's, bell-ringing demonstration in St James's Church, a (pink) balloon release outside the Co-Op, Shire horses at the Boughey Arms, and a range of pink-clad charity collectors! Here the window display of Horsley's the hardware shop has been embellished with a variety of pink items. Note too the pink rose bow on the porch bracket on the right, one of many on Church Street.
