Pattern-book late 1950s or early 1960s curtain-walled offices. The sloping canopy over the entrance was a popular motif at the time. Formerly offices of Lancashire County Council. It has since vacated, or will be vacating, as, in common with many other councils, it seeks to save money by rationalising its estate and concentrating staff in fewer buildings.
