Nottingham's new fire station was due to become operational in September 2016. According to the Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service website it "has been designed to last for more than 50 years and will use less than a quarter of the energy when compared to the current Central Fire Station, reducing carbon emissions significantly".
