The garages, operated by the transport section were used to house and service the buses and other vehicles which carried the thousands of staff to and from work. This Packard Sedan is one of the fleet purchased by the SIS in June 1940 for use as mobile wireless units. Their vivid showroom colours were removed by sandblasting and camouflage paint was applied to them before they entered service.
