The Weardale Railway Trust runs heritage diesel railcar services between Stanhope and Wolsingham and Witton-le-Wear at Easter, weekends from April to the end of October, and for most of August (not Mondays or Tuesdays) http://www.weardale-railway.org.uk/ .
