This vast facade looked almost attractive in the late afternoon sun. The next morning, in cloud and rain, it just looked foreboding and depressing. Earlier Geographists have identified this as 'Opal 1', a purpose built student hall of residence, which building name came from the owners, 'Opal Property'. When Opal collapsed in 2013 the property was purchased by the UK arm of America property giant Greystar, who renamed it 'Prodigy House'. It is currently called 'Marsden House'. The building was designed by Architects Jefferson Heard who describe the project at http://jeffersonsheard.co.uk/projects/opal-1-burley-road-leeds/
