This apartment block has been built on the trackbed of the Aberystwyth and Carmarthen railway line, which crossed the Rheidol here by means of a bridge. Some of the stonework of the bridge can just be discerned beneath the apartments. This, and other such developments in the Aberystwyth area mean that the local desire to rebuild the line is most unlikely to ever happen.
