This was originally the Royal Oak public house which closed between 2010 and 2013 and was converted into residential units, with new housing built on part of the former car park. The building dates from 1921 and replaced the former pub on the site, which was in a row of cottages. Originally leased to the former Cirencester Brewery, Arkells Brewery of Kingsdown Swindon took the former pub over and replaced it with the current building. It is said that some of the beams came from Cirencester Church. Two interesting windows survive from its days as a pub.
