Cast iron mile plate at the Hundred House Hotel. This is typical of the plates erected by the Worcester Turnpike Trust in the early-mid 19th century, normally using original milestones. This is a replica, and is not in the exact position of the original, which maps show to have been just to the east of the main road junction here. The local branch of the Milestones Society has been assiduous in reinstating such cast plates around the county. See http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5105119 for location.
