A westward (downstream) view along a minor stretch of the River Stour, which diverges from the mainstream a mile or so behind us and rejoins it a few hundred yards ahead. The area enclosed by the two watercourses makes up the majority of Millhams Mead local nature reserve. See Image for a view of the bridge on which we are standing.
