As the public footpath from Swinton Lane enters Boughton Park walkers are greeted by this noticeboard. One gets the feeling that the Club would really prefer that there was no public footpath across their land, but the footpath was here long before they were. Despite this not very friendly greeting, it is worth the effort of using this path because there are some very attractive views. The path itself is well marked by grooves cut in the ground, but probably not very surprisingly it does not seem to be much used.
