Situated just north-east of the parish church. I have to say that at first glance I found this a thoroughly creepy sort of structure. Looking more closely, what struck me was the absence of the conventional symbols of Christian piety. The most obvious emblems are 5-pointed stars and flower-like devices. Plainly the inspiration was Egyptian - the pyramid is enclosed by a fence which runs between stubby, tapered obelisks (another form from Egyptian antiquity). The only Christian symbolism I can detect is 'on-plan' - the plot is cross-shaped, and the pyramid itself is flanked by four pillars supporting what might be called urns.
