Statue of Robert Burns

The statue of Robert Burns in Dumfries with Greyfriars church in the background. The statue was commissioned by the town council in 1877. It was sculpted by Amelia Paton Hill and carved in Carrara marble. The statue was unveiled in 1882. The statue of Robert Burns includes a dog at his feet. The statue underwent restoration in 2005.
