These Oak logs in the Woodland Trust's Hodderston Park Wood https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/visiting-woods/wood/4084/hoddesdon-park-wood/ have been lopped from a nearby dead tree (probably for public safety reasons). They have been left on the woodland floor to encourage invertebrates
