High up, on the crest of the downs. Behind the camera the road descends the steep scarp of the downs towards Maidstone; ahead there is a long gentle descent towards Sittingbourne and the M2. At Highland Garage, fuel prices were 110.9 per litre for unleaded, 112.9 for diesel.
