A view from "White Bridge", a footbridge beneath which the River Witham flows. Access to the park can be gained from Slate Mill Place via the "White Bridge" entrance. On the other side of the riverside path is the entrance and administrative hub of what was originally an open-air swimming pool. This closed in 1971 and was partially filled in for the use of roller-skaters. Much later on it was used by the Grantham & District Model Boat Club for a period of ten or years or more. At present however, it is in a state of disrepair.
