The birth place of Arthur Harry Blissett (1878-1955) a former Royal Marine and a fellow explorer on the 1901-1904 "Discovery" expedition to the Antarctic with Capt. Robert Falcon Scott. This is the A607 (Belton-Grantham) road with the town centre lying less than a quarter of a mile behind the photographer.
