The building in the foreground was built in 1901 as the Victoria Hall, later becoming a cinema. In 1929 it became a dance hall. In more recent times it has been a night club - with various names - finally closing in 2010 as the QI Club. Beyond that is the Widow Frost, a Wetherspoons pub.
