Alexander Pollock Paisley Provost 1859 to 1862

This stone stands on the main road with its back to Martyrs Church side door and across from the "Paisley's First Aid Post Disaster" monument http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4942898. It's also the fifth provost of Paisley to be found inside Woodside Cemetery : http://www.paisleycemetery.co.uk/paisleycemetery/ POLLOCK: Marion Macalister died 22nd August 1885 aged 63 years. John Wilson Pollock M.B.E died 4th August 1928 in his 74th year. Marion Shaw Brunton his wife died 27th June 1953 in her 89th year. Peter Pollock Maxwelton died 4th February 1873 aged 47 years. Marion Bicket his wife died 2nd May 1865 aged 75 years. Alexander Pollock JUNr Banker Provost Of Paisley from 1859 to 1862 died 12th April 1877 aged 61 years. Eliza Lambe his wife died 8th November 1845 aged 24 years. Alex. Lambe Pollock their son died 1st December 1850 aged 5 years. Ursilla Macalister also his wife died 26th December 1878 aged 54 years.
