Viewed from Vicarage Gardens on Chatham Street. St Matthew's Church, which is Grade II listed http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-210813-st-matthew-s-church-non-civil-parish- was built in 1855 with the tower and spire added in 1866. The architect was J S Crowther.
