After the flood

Image: © Penny Mayes Taken: 24 Jul 2007

Houses in the centre of Bettws Cedewain were inundated on the night of 22 July 2007 when a wall of water swept down Bechan Brook after a blockage upstream gave way (or so I was told). Two days later the front gardens were filled with the flood-damaged furniture and carpets.
