This is a post mill with a round house, four common sails and winding by tailpole. Thought to be of late 17th century origin with later additions. Restored in 1948 and 2009 but no longer workable. This looking down the steep access steps to the rather weathered tail pole with the wheel at its lower end. The wheel would have run round a laid track but this has long gone and the mill is permanently fixed in one direction.
