The much-loved and long-running TV comedy series 'Last of the Summer Wine' was filmed in and around Holmfirth and the town is proud of the connection. Themed cafes are popular, the best known of which is the 'Wrinkled Stocking Tearoom' - a reference to Norah Batty's customary hosiery. There is also a Last of the Summer Wine exhibition and gift shop here.
