This war memorial is easy to miss as it is in a small hedged and grassed area off the road known as Newland, opposite Compton Way. It is for those people from Cogges lost in the First World War. Cogges was a civil parish which was dissolved in 1932 and most of it is now within the town of Witney. The memorial, which is in the form of a stone market cross, does not contain any names.
