Staples Corner

Staples Corner is named after the Staples Mattress Factory which occupied a building at this junction from 1926 until 1986. The present day Staples office retailer took advantage of a ready made location with great publicity when the area was redeveloped after the IRA bombing of April 1992. This is the eponymous roundabout at the ground level junction of the A406 North Circular Road with the A5 Edgware Road. The main A5 runs on the lower flyover, with the A406 on the higher one to the right.
