Not the Jubilee Garage

Built in the late 1950s to replace the Jubilee Garage in North Street, this was a filling station and car repairers for many years. By the 1990s Michelin had bought the freehold, and let the left hand end to a tyre company called ATS, and the right hand end was tennanted by a hardware shop. Both businesses have gone, leaving the entire building empty. There was talk of the discount retailer Aldi opening up, but nothing came of it.
