This is rather a difficult path. It was first shown on the 1908 1:2500 map. Don't go down the drive, but turn sharp left to a little gate. It is then a narrow path with nettles each side to another gate, and then turns right invisibly in woodland descending steeply to cross Shibden Brook. It then goes up the edge of a field to a walled footpath, although you have to duck under a strand of barbed wire.
