Across the B3066 Cambridge Road towards Holmdene Court. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5013971 The other half of the slightly staggered crossing is just out of shot on the left. Chambers Dictionary states that pelican in this context is adapted from "pedestrian light controlled crossing".
