This beautiful house was once a pub called The Bell, its name still set in the plaster on the wall facing the camera. It became a private residence in 1988, which is unfortunate for walkers on the Essex Way footpath because this welcoming watering hole sat right on its line. Just out of picture on the left are the famous twin churches in a single churchyard.
