As the last of the runners cross the end of Dowson Road, they are followed by support vehicles including paramedics. Market Street was closed for the Hyde 7 mile road race. This was stage 4 of the Tour of Tameside. https://www.sportstoursinternational.co.uk/events/tour-tameside-hyde-7/ Starting outside Hyde Town Hall this 7 mile road race went straight up Market Street before turning left onto Mottram Old Road and past the Ken Ward Leisure Centre in Hattersley and left onto Mottram Road; then Grange Road North near Hyde United and past Hyde Leisure Pool and up Lumn Road before turning back onto Market Street and down to the finish outside Hyde Town Hall. The winners of the men's and women's races were Mohammad Aburezeq and Kirsty Longley, both of whom also won in 2015.
